“Secret forces were at play” – that’s the verdict of Gwreichion, a podcast taking a fresh look at one of Wales’ enduring mysteries: who were Meibion Glyndwr? Ioan Wyn Evans looks back at one of the most turbulent and controversial periods in recent Welsh history, shedding new light on the firebombing campaign which started in 1979 and has never been solved. Amongst the contributors are Elfyn Llwyd, who believes that he has “no doubt that the police were instructed by someone somewhere that they had to find someone” to blame for the notorious events which lasted decades.
