Seoda Foinn

Seoda Foinn is a celebration of the Celtic singing artform Sean Nós, meaning 'oldstyle', an unaccompanied expression in song that dates back hundreds of years and was mostly passed on orally from generation to generation, with regional variations from Connacht, Munster & Ulster. The distinctive musical style has made it a powerful tool for narrating stories of human emotion, and a valuable insight into the social and political landscape of the past. Seoda Foinn explores the wealth of old recordings from RnaG's rich archives, rare gems uncovered by the music collectors of the 40s and50s, as well as cotempory artists.
