The Hazard of the Die

Michael's limp is getting worse. The actor is writing a radio drama about a drug trial when he receives a terminal diagnosis. He has motor neurone disease. So Michael decides to stage a major production of Shakespeare's longest history play - Richard III - with himself in the lead role. Then he gets the chance to join an experimental drug trial offering a promising treatment for MND. Now, Michael just has to convince the Lyric Theatre in Belfast to stage his production of Richard, while wondering if the new drug can offer any hope against the disease's relentless progression.
