Shan Cothi
Shan Cothi has been a well- known name in Wales and beyond for many years. Like many Welsh performers, she first tasted success as a performer on the Eisteddfod stage, before embarking on a career that’s embraced classical singing, presenting and acting. She was Carlotta in Phantom of the Opera on the West End stage, as well as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd at the Royal Opera House and at the Opera House in Zurich, sharing the stage with Sir Bryn Terfel. Shan has presented several series of her own music show on S4C as well as many other programmes, and taking the lead role in the Welsh language drama series “Con Passionate” on S4C. Shan also presents programmes of classical music on BBC Radio 3 and is one of the main presenters on BBC Radio Cymru’s coverage of the annual National Eisteddfod. Shan’s live magazine programme “Bore Cothi” is a popular staple of the Radio Cymru daily schedule, and celebrated it’s tenth anniversary this year.
