Turtle hatchlings are temperature sex determinate. This means that the sex of a hatchling depends not on genetics, but on the temperature in the nest. Lower temperature more males, higher temperature more females, and above a critical level no hatchlings at all. This film tracks scientists studying the impacts of global warming on 4 distinct species of turtles in their prime nesting grounds around the planet’s oceans.
