It's a story of courageous captains, at the helm of fishing vessels. Skippers with multifold experience and a profile of cold-blooded loners and gamblers. Through their eyes and with their own words, we are plunged into their lives in a world apart, that of the high seas, with its uncertainties and emotions. It is one of the rare professions where humans are in direct contact with nature, with its beauties and dangers. Claire, Benoît, Loïc, Gilles, Frédéric and Pierre: three generations of deep sea fishing captains tell us about their lives on the high seas, off the west coast of Scotland or in the Gulf of Guinea.
