    Pantisocracy

Pantisocracy is a series which was presented by Panti Bliss, one of Ireland's most popular and outspoken and charming figures. Panti is the alter-ego of Rory O'Neill, a drag queen and gay rights activist. In this special Christmas Day edition of Pantisocracy, Panti is joined by film maker Lenny Abrahamson, performer Gavin Friday, Grace Toland, singer and director of Irish Traditional Music Archive, sean-nós singer Róisín Elsafty and artist Amanda Coogan. The show is billed as a ‘cabaret of conversations’ about home, memory and belonging and draws on culture, language and identity. The series attracted some of the most interesting people living in Ireland and is reflective of the reality of Ireland today. The show was broadcast on Christmas Day, a time we often remember home and childhood. Here, the show explores ‘the heart of memory, the song of home’. What story does Christmas tell of us?
