Dr John Davies is one of Wales’ most notable historians and author. In this film, he speaks openly about life and death, literature and books, sexuality, history, nature, family, language and culture. He now lives alone in a multi-cultural area of Cardiff and also owns a remote cottage in west Wales where he escapes to be close to nature and be with his own thoughts. Despite fondness for travel, for him there is no place like Wales and nothing more important than his family. There is no narration – just unforgettable images and the wise words of an incredible man.
