    Wilde Stories

    Wilde Stories is a transmedia Irish art, literature and music project built around an original music composition, and landmark radio series, re-imagining Oscar Wilde, f through the prism of Wilde's fairytales The radio series was broadcast on RTE lyric fm and made with the support of the BAI. The transmedia project is showcased in the website www.wildestories.ie. The project is narrated by the actor Robert Sheehan and brings together first class readings by young Irish actors with documentary context and a new suite of music by a young Irish composer, performed and recorded with the RTE Concert Orchestra,. The website frames the multilayered storytelling and offers original animation videos, short cut audio, storytelling and a rich digital resource around Wilde's life and work. Oscar Wilde's grandson Merlin Holland was a collaborator on the project and website is a visual and aural artistic re-imagining of Oscar Wilde collection 'The Happy Prince and Other Stories (1888). The creative team on Wilde Stories is Helen Shaw, Michael Gallen, Felicity Clear and digital editor John Howard.
